Everyone has a role to play in supporting student mental health on campus. We’ve heard loud and clear that faculty and staff are noticing increased mental health distress in students, and have put together training that includes ‘how to’ scripts, clarifies the balance between professional boundaries and demonstrating care, and has skills-building related to equity and inclusion woven throughout all of the modules. Build your skills today to improve outcomes for students and reduce your own stress associated with student mental health concerns by enrolling in Mental Health training today!

SCS Outreach

SCS Outreach aims to connect with the larger university in order to strengthen our community. SCS partners with our campus leaders such as staff and faculty involvement to offer a variety of education and prevention events.

Schedule a SCS workshop/information session for your team/office to learn about ways to support students' mental health.

Consultation

Student Counseling Services is available to provide consultation to the university community. If faculty or staff are concerned about a student, you can call us at 612-624-3323 and ask to speak to the On Duty counselor.
Another resource for faculty and staff who would like to consult about a student is the Office for Student Affairs Care Program.
